Our Surface Treatments
- Ion Implantation: A low temperature treatment which improves wear resistance and micro hardness. Can be used to enhance all other coatings and plating processes.
- Hard Chrome Plating: Excellent corrosion resistant coating with a hardness of 72HRC. Used to protect new parts and can deposit 0.5mm in rework.
- Electroless Nickel Plating: A corrosion resistant uniform coating used to protect or build up complex shaped parts, 3-100 microns thickness.
- Eas-i-glide: Brilliant aid to mould release, a nickel PTFE composite.
- Crionising: A combination of Ion Implantation and Hard Chrome plating which increases micro hardness to 85HRC and wear resistance by 3 times.
- Nionising: A combination of Ion Implantation and Electroless Nickel plating which increases micro hardness to 60 HRC and improves wear resistance by 3 times.
- Eas-i-glide Xtra: A combination of Ion Implantation and Eas-i-glide produces a harder release coating.
- Diamond Like Coating: A very thin low friction coating with high hardness 80 HRC.
- Titanium Nitride Coating (TiN): A 2-3 micron coating, gold in colour with a coefficient of friction against steel of 0.6.
- Titanium Carbo Nitride Coating (TiCN): A 2-3 micron coating, pale blue in colour with a coefficient of friction against steel of 0.15.
- Chromium Nitride Coating (CrN): A 3-4 micron coating, silver grey in colour with a coefficient of friction against steel of 0.3.
- Friction Guard Nano Coating (FGN): A 2-3 micron coating, pink in colour with a coefficient of friction against steel of 0.15.
